Shudao Theme Park


DKY Architects was retained by Wuxi Lingshan Cultural Tourism Research Institute to provide conceptual programming and design for the Shudao Theme Park.   The Shudao Theme Park is a component of a larger resort that is under construction in Hanzhong City, China, and is based around the history and culture of the Han Dynasty which originates in the region. DKY Architects developed concepts, storylines, themes and preliminary layouts for eight attractions, seven of the attractions were designed with ride systems.  Overall architecture, style, attractions and shows for Shudao is themed to reflect the architecture of the period.

Concept design for a historical theme park that is a component of a cultural redevelopment in central China.   Concepts and story narratives were developed for eight attractions.    

Due to the restricted site area the theme park is designed on two levels with a meandering ramping system in the center.
